walking is great

Neither of my plans this weekend worked out (because both people I was going to meet up with are sick) so I went for a walk instead. I've figured out so far in Jan (after spending a lot of time watching youtube and playing stardew valley, which I do enjoy but...) that I feel better when I get out of the house. Why do the most obvious things always work πŸ™ƒ

After reading Losing Eden by Lucy Jones I think about the proven psychological benefits to going outside talked about in the book...

Exposure to soil bacteria…. is like a natural antidepressant, activating brain cells that improve mood, reduce anxiety and facilitate learning

She also writes about how microorganisms in the fresh air (from trees and other plants) boost your immune system, in a section I forgot to quote before returning the book to library. But it's stuck in my mind.
