Peggy Piggybacks to Picnic, a comic review

Here's another comic review from the Shortbox comics fair, which runs until the end of October.

I picked this one up partly due to the art style, and partly because the juxtaposition of a cute title and character design with the promise of a horror story drew me in.

Peggy and Vivi is almost late to join their community picnic on the Holy Mountain. Soon Peggy began to notice peculiar things in the environment around them and have a conversation about it during their cheerful and lighthearted journey.

This is an interesting little cosmic horror comic I don't want say too much about in case it spoils the story. I enjoyed it as a quick spooky season read - I didn't take much away from it, but the art spreads are very impressive and I had fun reading it.

The art style is reminiscent of Japanese horror manga, and I think if you like horror manga, you'll enjoy this.

You can buy it from Shortbox comics fair here, and the creator also has a personal website https://azamraharjo.com/ you can check out.
