week notes #12
Weeknotes 16/03/2026 - 22/03/2026
Forgive this late weeknotes entry, I have a lot to catch up on
Spring is here and everyone's gardens seem to be full of tulips.

Things I've done ✎ᝰ.📓🗒 ˎˊ˗
Another stressful work week. Only another six months of this to go before this project is over. Even if I quit I have a 3 month leaving period. Argh!
Aside from work, I:
- Spent four hours on a coach (bleugh) to meet my family for Sunday lunch :) I got to catch up with my brother and see his dog, which was nice.
- Two pilates sessions, one cut short because I developed a migraine during the class.
- Bouldering and dinner afterwards with some friends. One of them opened up about going to therapy, which was unexpected by led to a good conversation.
- Birthday dinner at a dim sum restaurant with a another friend - although her 3 month old baby had other ideas
- Started trying to do morning pages (but 1 page)
- Re-downloaded the Finch app to try and get in a routine.
Films (and TV) 🍿🎥✮⋆˙
I watched Project Hail Mary (2026), The Ghost and Mrs Muir (1947), The Killer (1989) and Hardboiled (1992).
I've been binge watching Elementary (which is another reason I can tell I'm stressed at work) which is ultimately a comfort show for me - a crime procedural with Johnny Lee Miller and Lucy Lui? Perfect.
I've been feeling 🫀🩹🥀❤️🩹
Busy ~~
I'm looking forward to
4 day weekend for the Easter holidays!
I've been reading 🍵📖
Have finished a The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet, by Becky Chambers. Both it and Project Hail Mary fall into the Hopepunk genre, which I'm trying not to be cynical about.
All my unfinished blog posts
I have to list my drafts here because it's getting silly:
- potholes - about a pothole that is getting fixed on my commute
- sand - literally just a link to this website, which I found charming and relaxing.
- b-movie madness! - summary of two b-movies I watched recently and what makes a b-movie.
- developing film in a darkroom - recap of a day course I did where we developed black and white film.
- am i having a mid life crisis? - more of a vent post about feeling stuck.
- photo walk film photos - posting the black and white photos
- list of things I like - a response to this post from alienoquily
- buddhist centre and 'happiness hacks'
- mystery shows and campion
See you next week 👋
