Weeknotes 10
Still bad at getting these done on the weekend... As usual it's been a busy week and I'm getting this done at work 🙃 I've been good at paper journaling though.
On Monday I was going to climb, but I've just been feeling so... tired and heavy recently I couldn't face the cycle. I went home instead and didn't do... anything 😴 This tiredness kind of continued throughout the week... I journaled about it. I did some climbing on Thursday and Sunday morning instead, but I still feel so sleepy. My action plan is to start taking vitamin D again. The NHS does actually recommend the UK population take vitamin D in the winter, so it's probably overdue.
I've been trying to write some Shortbox comic reviews this month - check them out if you like comics. I've enjoyed writing them, but it's highlighted I don't have much of an insight into criticism, which I'd like to improve at.
I really didn't make much of my day off. It's started to get colder and rainier here, and the weather was horrendous. I had to wade through several sections of flooded pavement on my way to Pilates (the only exercise I had all day), then went home and watched a couple of horror films.
On Friday I went to a friend's birthday drinks - I had a bit of a wobble mid-way through, because I wasn't talking to anyone and people were smoking (I want to smoke with them - I'd be able to escape this horrible feeling of sitting here with nothing to say) but then I got chatting with some people and it was fine. There was a tiny italian greyhound in a turtleneck there too 😭
On Saturday I hosted a horror film night - we watched Society and Prevenge. I honestly would need to write a whole post on both of them, but Society really made my jaw drop - exactly what I look for in a horror film! I was a little stressed about hosting, but it was a really fun night and I felt good about bringing all my friends together, and having cultivated a friend group who like the same things I do. I joked as they were leaving that I'd message them all the nice time the Sickos film club was in session.

I enjoyed this article on Lillian Schwartz, a computer art pioneer. Harks back to a time when computers and what could be done with them was new and exciting.
Laura Michet's week/link round ups are really good!
See you next time ~*
